Firewood processor designed for maximum safety and efficiency The XXL 1000 is the latest firewood processor from Bilke Oy. All Bilke machines are characterized by their advanced proprietary design. With product development way ahead of the competition, Bilke is in a position to respond to all current requirements and future needs. Cutting and automatic trimming The XXL 1000 is designed to cut and split large and small logs and stems on a commercial scale. Cutting is carried out with a powerful hydraulic saw fitted with an automatic tensioning and lubrication system. The automatic trimming control of the cutting unit measures all the logs and stems being fed into the machine and, if required, will discard logs of the incorrect length, thereby ensuring that all logs are the right size. The automatic trimming control is one of the XXL 1000’s unique features that help guarantee problem-free production. Two or more sawing operations before splitting makes it possible to increase the production rate when chopping shorter-than-normal firewood. Splitting – patented automatic locator Cut firewood is automatically carried to the hydraulic splitter. The XXL 1000 is the only commercially available machine to have a fully automatic and reliable mechanical splitter locator. All the wood is split accurately in the centre to ensure optimum size. By changing the splitter blade, it is possible to split wood into 2, 4, 8 or 16 parts. Controllable from a heated cab The XXL 1000 is operated by means of a multi-function controller that can be placed in a tractor cab for example. The chopping cycle is completely automatic from beginning to end. Wood can be lifted onto the feeder line with a log loader, for example. Customized output conveyor The length and type of the conveyor can be selected according to customer requirements. The output conveyor starts automatically and can be raised or lowered or turned to either side electrically. Safe and efficient As always with Bilke, the point of departure in product development is safety. An invention or idea that improves productivity often enhances safety as well.
